Brad Pitt returns as Cliff Booth: first trailer for the «Once Upon a Time in Hollywood» spin-off

David Fincher takes the director’s chair

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for «The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth» — a spin-off of Quentin Tarantino’s cult film «Once Upon a Time in Hollywood». Brad Pitt reprises his leading role, while David Fincher directs the film. Tarantino himself serves as both screenwriter and producer this time around.

The new movie continues the story of Cliff Booth — a former stuntman and longtime friend of actor Rick Dalton.

The story is set in 1977, eight years after the events of «Once Upon a Time in Hollywood». Cliff has left his career as a stuntman behind, lives in Los Angeles and now works as a bartender. In his spare time, however, he helps people in the film industry deal with delicate situations.

Cliff is approached by television star Charlie Peters, played by Scott Caan, together with his agent Karen, portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki. The former stuntman is once again drawn into the world of show business as he sets out to solve a problem involving his acquaintances.

Brad Pitt is not the only cast member returning to his role. Timothy Olyphant reprises his part as actor James Stacy, a character from the original film. The new movie also features Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller and other actors.

As a reminder, Brad Pitt won the «Oscar» in 2020 for his performance as Cliff Booth in «Once Upon a Time in Hollywood».

«The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth» premieres on Netflix on December 23.
