At Madonna’s Former Estate
The 1975 frontman Matty Healy and model Gabbriette, whose real name is Gabriella Leigh Bechtel, are officially husband and wife. The couple exchanged vows at the historic Castillo del Lago estate in the Hollywood Hills – once owned by Madonna. Built in 1926 in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, the mansion was designed by architect John DeLario. Madonna purchased the property in 1993, lived there for several years, and later sold it.

For the ceremony, the 37-year-old musician wore a classic black tuxedo with a boutonnière, while the 28-year-old bride chose a romantic white gown featuring a full skirt and a long veil. According to Vogue, the evening’s dress code blended the glamour of Old Hollywood with the gothic touches that have become a signature of the couple’s style.

Family, close friends and colleagues gathered to celebrate the occasion. Among the guests were Charli XCX and her husband, The 1975 drummer George Daniel, models Alex Consani and Devon Lee Carlson, who attended with her fiancé Duke Nicholson. Stassie Karanikolaou, Sydney Carlson, Alex O’Connor, Tyrrell Hampton and several other figures from the music and fashion industries were also in attendance.

Ahead of the wedding, Gabbriette celebrated her bachelorette party in Las Vegas. Before boarding her private jet, the model – dressed in a vintage Chanel suit from the brand’s 2005 collection – was playfully «arrested» by an actor dressed as a police officer, who then carried her onto the aircraft. While in Las Vegas, the group attended a performance by Dita Von Teese and an Elvis Presley tribute show.

Matty Healy also marked the end of his bachelor days in memorable fashion. During his bachelor party in Malibu, tribute band The 9075, known for performing songs by The 1975, took the stage. At one point, Healy surprised everyone by joining the band and performing several of his group’s biggest hits.
Matty Healy and Gabbriette began dating in September 2023 and announced their engagement in June 2024. At the time, the model revealed a custom-designed engagement ring featuring a large black diamond. Before his relationship with Gabbriette, Healy briefly dated Taylor Swift following her split from Joe Alwyn in the spring of 2023. Their romance lasted only a few weeks before they went their separate ways.
