Just Married: Empire State Building changes color to celebrate Taylor Swift’s wedding
Officially husband and wife!
One of the biggest entertainment events of the year took place in New York – the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The private celebration was held at Madison Square Garden. Following the ceremony, the words «JUST & T MARRIED» appeared on the venue’s giant screens. Another symbolic gesture came from the iconic Empire State Building, which was illuminated in blue – a color traditionally associated with weddings in Western culture.

Organizers went to great lengths to keep the celebration private. Guests were prohibited from using their phones or taking any photos or videos. Security around the arena was significantly increased, and several nearby streets were temporarily closed.
Approximately one thousand guests attended the wedding. The guest list included some of the biggest names in Hollywood and the music industry, among them Dakota Johnson, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Ethan Hawke, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, Karlie Kloss, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, and many others. However, Taylor’s close friend Blake Lively was notably absent from the festivities.
It was also revealed that the ceremony was officiated by the couple’s longtime friend, actor Adam Sandler. Taylor and Travis chose to forgo the traditional bridal party. Instead, their brothers – Austin Swift and Jason Kelce – served as the ceremony’s only witnesses.
The wedding looks of the newlyweds also attracted considerable attention. According to Vogue and People, the exclusive outfits were designed by Dior’s creative director Jonathan Anderson. For the designer, it marked the first couture wedding gown he has created specifically for a celebrity of this stature. The 36-year-old singer completed her look with Cartier jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes.
While fans eagerly await the first official wedding photographs, online discussions are already focused on the guests’ fashion choices. The dress code was relatively understated, featuring monochromatic palettes and classic silhouettes. Karlie Kloss attended in a gold-toned Tove gown, Camila Cabello chose a lace creation by Zimmermann, and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews opted for a Gucci dress.
