$20 million and a thousand guests: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kick off their wedding weekend

The grand celebration is underway

Singer Taylor Swift and football star Travis Kelce, who got engaged last year, appear to have finally begun their long-awaited wedding weekend.

According to Page Six, the main celebrations are set to take place this weekend in New York at the legendary Madison Square Garden arena, where Taylor has performed on numerous occasions.

The billionaire artist’s wedding is expected to surpass even the scale of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s ceremony. Forbes USA estimates that the festivities will cost at least $20 million. More than $3 million could reportedly be spent on floral arrangements alone. Several additional millions are expected to go toward décor, lighting, temporary stages, draping for the arena seating, and other design elements. In the days leading up to the event, trucks carrying decorations and boxes labeled «trees» were spotted outside the venue. Some media outlets even speculated that a fairytale-style castle may have been constructed inside the arena.

Approximately one thousand guests are expected to attend the wedding. Among those reportedly invited are Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz, Karlie Kloss, Suki Waterhouse, Emma Stone, Gracie Abrams, and many other celebrities.

Moreover, according to reports from WWD, an intimate pre-wedding dinner for the couple’s closest friends has already taken place. Guests reportedly included Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Lena Dunham, as well as producer Jack Antonoff, who has collaborated with Swift for many years.
