Emma Roberts gets married: a closer look at the actress’s wedding dress

Like a vintage doll
Hollywood actress Emma Roberts has tied the knot for the first time. The 35-year-old American Horror Story star is now officially married to 36-year-old actor Cody John. After four years together, the couple said «I do». Rather than hosting a lavish celebration, they chose an intimate ceremony in Sun Valley, Idaho, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The actress shared the first photos from the wedding on her social media, while exclusive images of her bridal look were published by Vogue.
Emma’s bridal ensemble undoubtedly deserves special attention. For her big day, she wore a custom-made Monique Lhuillier gown created especially for her. The romantic ivory design featured an off-the-shoulder neckline with a softly draped décolletage. Its corseted bodice gently accentuated her silhouette, while the long, lightweight skirt flowed in delicate waves, creating an almost fairy-tale effect. The look was completed with a long, ethereal veil.

Emma herself revealed that she had dreamed of looking like a «vintage ghost doll». That is why she deliberately avoided excessive sparkle and elaborate embellishments, instead embracing a soft silhouette, airy fabrics, and a romantic vintage mood.

Groom Cody John opted for timeless elegance, wearing a sophisticated brown Ferragamo suit for the ceremony.
One of the ceremony’s most touching moments came as Emma walked down the aisle hand in hand with her five-year-old son, Rhodes. Among the guests was her famous aunt, Julia Roberts, who attended the wedding with her husband, Danny Moder.
After the official celebration, the bride changed out of her white gown into a striking black look. For the after-party, Emma wore a contrasting archival Monique Lhuillier dress featuring a corseted bodice and elegant black lace detailing.
