Football star Lucas Hernández ties the knot: inside his spectacular wedding

Three days of celebrations
Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Hernández and Brazilian model Victoria Triay celebrated their lavish wedding in France. The couple transformed a historic abbey into a private retreat for family and friends, with the festivities spanning three days.

A Very Special Venue
The wedding took place on July 25, 2026, at the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay, a former 12th-century Cistercian monastery located around 45 minutes from Paris.
Lucas and Victoria rented out the entire property, turning it into their own private world for several days.

The idea of hosting a grand celebration came from Lucas himself. In an interview with Vogue México, Victoria revealed that he had never imagined their wedding as an event that would last just a few hours. The footballer wanted to mark the occasion on a truly impressive scale.

Preparations took more than a year. The couple worked with the House of Kirschner team and wedding planner Lauren Attal.
Organising everything was no easy task. Lucas had an intense football season, including the Champions League final, title celebrations and the World Cup. Two months before the wedding, Victoria was already worried they might not manage to get everything ready in time.
«Lauren became my lifesaver», she admitted.

Guests were given their own rooms as well as vintage bicycles to explore the grounds.
The programme began even before the ceremony itself. Some guests played padel, while others relaxed at the spa. Children spent time at the farm, feeding the animals, playing and fishing in the lake.
According to Victoria, the guests became so immersed in the celebrations that some barely slept before the farewell brunch.

The Bride and Groom’s Looks
Victoria prepared three bridal looks for the occasion — all by Zuhair Murad.
«For me, there has always been only one designer when it comes to wedding dresses — Zuhair Murad», the model said.

She had long admired the designer’s work and dreamed of wearing one of his gowns. Ultimately, Victoria chose to wear his creations throughout the entire wedding celebration.

Her bridal looks were completed with diamond jewellery, including earrings and a necklace gifted to her by Lucas.
The couple designed their wedding bands together with their friend and jeweller David Paillard, opting for diamond eternity rings set with stones all the way around.

Victoria also changed her shoes throughout the celebrations, choosing designs by Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and René Caovilla for different parts of the festivities.
Her beauty look was timeless and elegant. Her hair was swept into a sleek bun, while celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta created her makeup.

Lucas also had more than one look for the occasion. Tom Ford created three bespoke ensembles for the footballer, each of which he paired with a white-gold Patek Philippe 5712 watch.

The Wedding Dinner
After the ceremony, the newlyweds slipped away from their guests for a few hours to take part in a romantic photo shoot.

Dinner followed — although it was far from a traditional wedding reception.

Guests were treated to a show featuring live music and performances by NuArt. The vast pavilion was decorated with more than a hundred exotic plants, transforming the space into a lush jungle.

Lasers, neon lighting and special effects added to the atmosphere. Later, dinner turned into a party with music by Carlita and DJ Cruz.
«We wanted every moment to feel emotional and exciting», the bride explained.

Their Story Began by Chance
Lucas and Victoria first met in Paris on November 12, 2023. At the time, the model was visiting the French capital with friends and was due to return to Miami the following morning.
On her final night, her friends persuaded her to go to Raspoutine. Victoria agreed to stay for just one hour — but it was there that she spotted her future husband.
«The first thing I noticed was his smile. Then I saw his face and, of course, his tattooed arms», she recalled.

The pair talked until morning, and Victoria eventually decided to extend her stay in Paris by another two days.
Soon afterwards, Lucas left to join the French national team. Their communication, however, never stopped. They continued talking every day, gradually getting to know each other better.
The Ibiza Proposal
On July 14, 2024, Lucas decided to take the next step. The footballer proposed to Victoria in Ibiza, inviting her and her friends to watch the sunset near Es Vedrà.

When the model arrived, Lucas was already waiting for her. He got down on one knee and presented her with a Tiffany & Co. ring. White flowers surrounded them as a musician played «Oceans» — one of the couple’s favourite songs.
But the surprises did not end there. After the proposal, Lucas threw Victoria an Ibiza-style party with friends and music.

Why They Chose Paris
For their wedding, the couple returned to Paris. It was where their love story had begun, making the choice feel only natural.
«Getting married there was the first and, honestly, the only idea we ever had», Victoria said.

Family, friends and Lucas’s colleagues travelled to join the celebration. Some guests spent more than 15 hours travelling to share those three days with the couple. Among them were Lucas’s fellow footballers, including Kylian Mbappé, who attended with his girlfriend.

For the newlyweds, the occasion was about much more than simply getting married. Victoria and Lucas brought together people they had not seen for a long time.
«It reminded us just how precious time is. Moments like these do not come around often in life», the model shared.

The three days at the historic French abbey therefore marked not only the beginning of a new chapter for the couple, but also a memorable reunion with the people closest to them.
