Ariana Grande in the first trailer for «Focker-In-Law 4»

Ariana Grande is returning to the big screen. At the annual CinemaCon convention of movie theater owners in Las Vegas, Universal Studios unveiled the first trailer for the continuation of the cult franchise «Meet the Fockers», in which Grande plays one of the key roles.
According to the plot, Greg Focker’s son (Ben Stiller), Henry (Skyler Gisondo), brings his girlfriend Olivia Jones (Ariana Grande) home. She turns out to be a perfectionist and reveals that she has undergone training as an FBI negotiator and intends to «free» her boyfriend from his father’s overprotective influence. She quickly wins the affection of the entire family – including Jack (Robert De Niro) – which only intensifies the conflict with Greg, who feels increasingly pushed out of the family dynamic.
The film continues the story of the franchise, which began with «Meet the Parents» and was followed by two installments of «Meet the Fockers», both of which became box-office hits. In the new chapter, Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller reprise their roles.
On stage at CinemaCon, Stiller jokingly called himself the franchise’s «new De Niro», while De Niro noted that working with Grande had been one of the most enjoyable experiences of his career.
Grande herself described her character in an interview as a girl who is initially not taken seriously, but quickly becomes everyone’s «favorite» – with the exception of Greg himself.
