Kate Middleton conquers three mountain peaks in 24 hours

Across England, Scotland and Wales
The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has taken part in the charitable «National Three Peaks» challenge, successfully climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within just 24 hours.
Over the course of a single day, the 44-year-old royal covered a distance of 37 kilometres and ascended Ben Nevis in Scotland (1,345 metres), Scafell Pike in England (978 metres), and Snowdon in Wales (1,085 metres). In total, she completed more than 3,000 metres of elevation gain.

Through the challenge, the Princess, who is currently in remission, supported the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity – an organisation linked to the hospital where she herself underwent cancer treatment.
Sharing photos and videos on Instagram, Kate also opened up about her personal experience with the disease.
«Every year, hundreds of thousands of people hear words that no one ever wants to hear. Cancer changes not only the body, but also the way a person thinks and feels. I know this from personal experience», the Princess wrote.

Middleton stressed that recovery requires not only medical treatment but also psychological and emotional support. That is why she chose to highlight the work of the charity, which helps patients receive comprehensive care throughout treatment and recovery.
According to Kate, taking part in the challenge was both a personal test and a way to express gratitude for being able to feel strong again.
