The ceremony celebrated innovators in fashion, music, and beyond
The 16th annual WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards took place yesterday at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. The awards recognize influential figures across various industries whose ideas and achievements help shape the worlds of culture, art, and technology.
This year, the Music Innovator Award went to Rosalía, who continues to experiment with sound and develop her distinctive artistic identity.
Matthieu Blazy, Chanel’s creative director, was honoured for his contribution to fashion. The Film Innovator Award was presented to director and screenwriter Martin McDonagh, while actress and comedian Amy Poehler received recognition in the Comedy category.
Among the evening’s guests were Dua Lipa, who stepped out in an elegant Chanel ensemble, and Cara Delevingne, who opted for a look by Erdem.
Rosalía wore Schiaparelli, while pregnant Ciara posed for photographers alongside her husband, Russell Wilson, in a LaPointe dress. Lupita Nyong’o chose an outfit by Brandon Maxwell.
