Irish actress Evanna Lynch, best known for her role as the quirky and enchanting Luna Lovegood in the «Harry Potter» films, has tied the knot for the first time. Her chosen partner is French gardener Deeney Skinner, whom the actress has been dating for around five years.
The 35-year-old Lynch and her partner got married in London. For their celebration, the couple chose the historic Wilton’s Music Hall — one of the oldest music halls in the British capital.
The bride took a rather unusual approach to planning the ceremony. According to the Daily Mail, the couple even consulted an astrologer when choosing their wedding date, as one of their main requirements was to avoid a solar eclipse. They ultimately chose August 21 for their special day.
The wedding was intimate and deeply personal, with just 20 guests in attendance.
For the ceremony, the actress opted for a romantic, slightly vintage-inspired look — a full-length light-colored skirt and corset, complemented by a veil.
Groom Deeney Skinner, meanwhile, appeared in a dark green suit, a white shirt and a bright tie.
Another particularly interesting detail of the «Harry Potter» star’s wedding was her unusual gift for her husband. The actress decided to skip traditional wedding symbols and make the present as personal as possible. Instead of a classic wedding ring, Evanna gave her husband a pendant featuring the image of a tooth belonging to his beloved dog.
