First photos of Jordan’s king and queen with their newborn granddaughters

How sweet!
King Abdullah II of Jordan and Queen Rania have shared the first photos of their newborn twin granddaughters, giving their followers a glimpse of the touching first meeting with the babies.

A few days ago, on August 14, the royal family welcomed two new members: the king and queen’s eldest daughter, 29-year-old Princess Iman, and her husband, Jameel Thermiotis, became parents to twin girls. Several days after the twins were born, the Royal Court officially announced the happy news. Now, Queen Rania has shared the first photos with her granddaughters.

In the pictures, the royal couple can be seen lovingly holding the little princesses in their arms. The photos also revealed the names chosen by the parents. The girls have been named Talia and Rania — one of the princesses was named after her royal grandmother.

«Healthy, happy and finally with us. We have waited so long to meet you, Talia and Rania. Congratulations to Iman, Jameel and sweet big sister Amina», the queen wrote alongside the photos on social media.
