43-year-old Anne Hathaway has been named the most beautiful celebrity in the world: People magazine awarded her first place in its annual ranking of the world’s most beautiful people. On the cover of the latest issue, the actress poses in looks by Stella McCartney, Tamara Ralph, Dolce & Gabbana, David Koma, Khaite, and Rabanne. Notably, last year the title of the most beautiful star was awarded to 63-year-old actress Demi Moore.

In an interview with the magazine, the actress admitted she never expected the title to be hers: «It’s something I never expected. I feel like I’m going to be teased about it.» The The Devil Wears Prada star also recalled a conversation with a director who once told her: «Beauty can contain ugliness if there is truth in it.» Hathaway added that with age she has begun to “truly appreciate calm.»
