A stylish shoot for Vogue
Hollywood star Anne Hathaway is the cover star of the September issue of «Vogue China». The 43-year-old actress appeared before the camera with a dramatically different look. This time, stylists moved away from the voluminous styling, ponytails and elaborate hairstyles Hathaway is usually known for. Instead, she posed with an ultra-short haircut, sleek styling and minimalist makeup.
For the cover shoot, Hathaway wore looks from Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Dries Van Noten, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Givenchy. The shoot was photographed by renowned photographer Norman Jean Roy.
The looks were elegant yet contemporary, with a slightly daring edge.
In the interview, Hathaway spoke candidly about her approach to acting, her family, motherhood and a new chapter in her career.
The actress has worked in film for more than 25 years. During that time, she has evolved from a young star of romantic comedies into one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actresses. Her best-known films include «The Devil Wears Prada», «The Princess Diaries», «Interstellar», «Les Misérables» and many others.
Despite her enormous popularity, Hathaway admitted that she no longer feels the need to constantly prove herself professionally.
«For a long time, acting was my greatest love and was at the heart of my sense of self. Now I have another identity beyond acting», the star shared.
According to Hathaway, she now allows herself to approach her profession with much more ease.
«I’m no longer seeking attention for my career. The only reason I continue to make films is because I genuinely love it», the actress said.
Hathaway is currently going through an especially busy period in her career. She jokingly referred to it as her «year of five films», as she worked on several major projects at the same time. Among them is Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated adaptation of «The Odyssey», in which she plays Penelope.
Her third pregnancy was another topic of conversation. In June, the actress announced on social media that she and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their third child. Hathaway said the pregnancy was an unexpected yet deeply meaningful gift from fate.
