Blake Lively loses court case against director Justin Baldoni

The court dismisses the actress’s allegations
The high-profile conflict between actress Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni has taken an unexpected turn. The film star lost the legal battle to Baldoni – of the 13 lawsuits filed by the 38-year-old actress, only three remain; the court dismissed the most high-profile claims, including those alleging sexual harassment by Baldoni, TMZ reports.
The dispute centers around the film «It Ends with Us», where Lively and Baldoni worked together not only as actors but also as project partners.

Lively claimed that during filming the director allowed himself overly long kisses or embraces that went beyond the script. However, the court ruled that these moments could be considered part of the creative process and do not provide sufficient grounds for legal liability.
Another argument was that the lawsuits were filed under California law, even though the filming took place in New Jersey. The court emphasized that applying a different jurisdiction in this case was inappropriate. Additionally, the judge concluded that the actress was not an employed worker, and therefore certain laws she relied upon do not apply to her.
Despite the setback, Lively still has a chance to prove part of her claims within the three remaining lawsuits. In particular, these include potential reputational damage and online bullying.
