Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds reportedly owe contractors $2 million over mansion construction

The Hollywood couple is facing multiple lawsuits
The construction of a luxury estate owned by Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in New York has reportedly turned into a prolonged project plagued by financial issues. According to TMZ, several contractors claim they are owed more than $2 million and have already filed lawsuits.
The dispute concerns the couple’s estate in Lewisboro, a property spanning more than 40 hectares that they purchased back in 2018. Media reports state that in April, five contractors and subcontractors filed legal claims alleging they had not been paid for completed work. The total amount in dispute is said to be approximately $2.1 million.

The largest claim was filed by FlowCon Inc., which alleges it is owed more than $1.35 million for work that included structural framing, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical installations, drywall, masonry, waterproofing, painting, and more. Other contractors are also seeking payment for unpaid services, including the construction of a copper roof, metalwork, carpentry, geothermal excavation, and septic system installation.

The project itself reportedly involved the construction of a sprawling 1,350-square-meter mansion, along with a separate pool house, gym, and other luxury amenities – effectively creating a full-scale private estate.
According to unofficial reports, construction work began slowing down toward the end of last year, and by 2026 the project had allegedly been put on hold entirely.
