Dolce & Gabbana Dress and Star-Studded Guests: Supermodel Mariacarla Boscono Ties the Knot

44-year-old supermodel Mariacarla Boscono and her 32-year-old fiancé, pole vaulter Claudio Stecchi, have officially tied the knot. The lavish wedding ceremony took place on October 5 at Villa Valguarnera in Sicily, their native Italy.
Boscono walked down the aisle in a Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown, made from repurposed vintage Sicilian fabrics and lace. Stecchi donned a custom-tailored suit by Zegna. The bride also wore a cape made from two thousand meters of pleated tulle strips and a crown of porcelain flowers adorned with crystals.
Throughout the day, Mariacarla wore three different outfits.
Among the star-studded guests at this celebration of love were French editor Carine Roitfeld, Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, Russian model Natalia Vodianova, business mogul Antoine Arnault, designers Riccardo Tisci, John Galliano, and Raf Simons, as well as other prominent figures from the fashion world.
In an interview with Vogue, the newlyweds shared that they met at a time when neither of them was seeking a relationship, but they were struck by «love at first sight». Since Mariacarla was living in New York and Claudio was either in Rome or Florence, traveling extensively, the couple communicated for a long time exclusively through letters, like in the old days. Despite the distance, their love endured.
