«He’ll never be satisfied»
Three years after celebrity couple Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello split, their relationship is once again making headlines.
Recently, the actor spoke about a serious illness that changed his life, saying that he had not felt sufficiently supported by his wife during one of the most difficult periods he had faced. In response, 54-year-old Vergara shared an Instagram post about narcissistic men. Although she did not mention anyone by name, the post appears to be a reaction to Manganiello’s accusations.
The text describes men who belittle their partners’ efforts, manipulate them and shift the blame onto them.
«Remember: when you’re dealing with a narcissist, it doesn’t matter how much you do for them. They’ll still find a reason to be angry with you. They’ll never be satisfied, and one way or another, they’ll try to make you look like the bad guy», the star wrote.
The latest controversy was sparked by excerpts from the 49-year-old actor’s book that surfaced online ahead of its scheduled release on October 13. In the book, Manganiello reveals that his health problems began after his 2015 wedding to Vergara.
In 2016, the actor underwent surgery to remove part of his intestine. Following the procedure, he had to use an ostomy bag. Over the course of his illness, he also lost 27 kilograms.
According to Manganiello, getting through that period was particularly difficult because he lacked emotional support.
Vergara and Manganiello were married for seven years, and their separation became public in the summer of 2023. At the time, the actress explained that they had different visions for their future together and could not agree on certain issues, including having children. As the film star previously revealed, she did not want to become an «old mother» again, while Joe, according to her, wanted children.
