Sofía Vergara shares how she celebrated her 54th Birthday

Sofía Vergara celebrated her 54th birthday in true Italian summer style. The «Modern Family» star spent the special day on the Italian coast surrounded by family and close friends, later sharing the highlights of the celebration on Instagram.
For the evening festivities, the actress chose a striking red bandeau dress, posing with several birthday cakes while receiving warm wishes from her guests.
The following day, Sofía headed out for a yacht excursion. In the photos, she is seen wearing a vibrant red bikini against the breathtaking backdrop of the Italian coastline.
«I’m so grateful for all the love you gave me yesterday! It was the best birthday of my life! And thank you, Italy, for all my 300 cakes! 54 is a great number!», Vergara wrote.
Judging by the photos and videos, she was hardly exaggerating about the cakes. The actress shared a clip showing waiters carrying out an entire procession of desserts topped with sparkling candles to festive music.
«15 cakes later!», she joked.
The celebration itself was just as spectacular. Friends sang, played tambourines decorated with the birthday girl’s portrait, and one of the boats even flew a flag featuring Sofía’s photo alongside the words «Happy Birthday».
Among the guests was the actress’s only son, 34-year-old Manolo Gonzalez Vergara.
She was also joined by her boyfriend, Douglas Chabbott, whom she has been dating since last year. After fans began speculating about a possible breakup because he was missing from the first photos of the celebration, Sofía quickly put the rumors to rest by sharing a selfie of the two together.
Vergara has previously spoken candidly about how the idea of growing older once made her anxious. Over the years, however, her perspective has changed completely. Today, she says she feels wonderful and embraces every new stage of life with joy. And, perhaps, she summed up this birthday best herself: «54 is a great number».
