In New York, a reunion of the stars of the cult film «Legally Blonde» took place

Ahead of the premiere of the prequel series «Elle»
A special event titled «Elle World» was held in New York, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the iconic comedy «Legally Blonde» and the upcoming premiere of its prequel series «Elle». The event took place at Hall des Lumières and brought together both the cast of the original film and the cast of the new project, which will continue the story of Elle Woods.
The main guest of the evening was Reese Witherspoon, who portrayed the charismatic Elle Woods in 2001 – one of the most recognizable characters in early-21st-century romantic comedies. She was joined by her former co-stars Selma Blair, Jennifer Coolidge, Ali Larter, Matthew Davis, and Victor Garber.
Cast members of the new series «Elle», which explores the protagonist’s life before the events of «Legally Blonde», also attended the celebration. The lead role is played by Lexi Minetree, who portrays a teenage Elle Woods during her high school years. During the event, the actress posed alongside Witherspoon, symbolically representing the next generation of the character.

Other guests included June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Chandler Kinney, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, and Zac Looker, who are part of the series’ main cast. The event was also attended by comedian Bowen Yang, singer Hoku – whose song «Perfect Day» was featured in the original film – as well as Vanessa Carlton and other celebrities.
The series «Elle» will serve as a prequel to «Legally Blonde» and will depict Elle Woods’ life in 1995, long before her admission to Harvard Law School. The story follows her teenage years, first love, complicated friendships, and the experiences that shape her character and confidence.
The premiere of the first season of «Elle» is scheduled for July 1, 2026, on Prime Video. Reese Witherspoon serves as an executive producer on the project. Even before the debut of the first season, the streaming platform has already renewed the series for a second season, reflecting high expectations for this new chapter in Elle Woods’ story.
