«I never thought about my own needs»: Lily Allen launches her own sex toy collection

The singer speaks candidly about female pleasure

British singer Lily Allen is launching her own collection of intimate toys in collaboration with Lovehoney, a brand specialising in sexual wellness products.

According to the artist, the idea came to her while touring in support of her album «West End Girl», which explores her personal experiences following the end of a relationship.

With the collection, Allen hopes not only to offer a curated selection of products but also to draw attention to female pleasure and women’s right to speak openly about their intimate needs.

In an interview with The Times, the singer admitted that she had often put her own desires aside in past relationships. For a long time, her main priority was to avoid rejection and loneliness, which led her to focus on her partner’s satisfaction rather than her own.

«I never really thought about my own needs. My main goal was to do everything I could to avoid being rejected or abandoned. That’s why I put my partner’s pleasure first. I felt like an instrument for male pleasure», the 41-year-old star revealed.

The singer also addressed why women can find it difficult to talk openly with their partners about their intimate desires. According to Allen, some men’s reactions when told that their partners are not sexually satisfied can be intimidating. As a result, many women prefer to avoid conflict and keep their needs to themselves.

The Lovehoney collection, developed in collaboration with Allen, will feature six intimate toys. Prices for the new products are expected to start at around $50.
