Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend Sahara Ray has died

Nine months after giving birth
Australian model and swimwear designer Sahara Ray has died at the age of 34. She passed away in hospital on October 18, surrounded by her family. The tragic news comes just nine months after the birth of her daughter, Snow. Her cause of death has not yet been officially disclosed.

«She passed away last night in the hospital, surrounded by her family. She was very loved», her family told TMZ.

Sahara’s final months were marked by motherhood and a battle with her health. In 2024, she spoke publicly about being diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the peripheral nerves. The condition can cause severe weakness and, in serious cases, a loss of mobility.

According to Ray, her condition deteriorated significantly following a serious car accident. She said she had been partially paralysed from the upper thigh down, was unable to walk, and relied on a wheelchair and a walker. However, there has been no confirmation that the condition contributed to or caused her death.

In January 2026, Sahara gave birth to her daughter, Snow. The model shared glimpses of motherhood with her followers but largely kept her private life out of the public eye and did not reveal the identity of her daughter’s father.

Sahara Ray rose to prominence through her modelling career, her work in the swimwear industry, and her own brand, Sahara Ray Swim. In 2016, she made headlines amid rumours of a romance with Justin Bieber. The pair were spotted together while vacationing in Hawaii. The model was also linked to singer Cody Simpson.

Following Sahara’s death, her final social media posts dedicated to her daughter have drawn renewed attention. They offer a glimpse of a woman who had only just embarked on a new chapter of her life – motherhood – with many plans still ahead of her. Her daughter, Snow, is now left without her mother at just nine months old.
