Princess Eugenie reveals her newborn daughter for the first time

And announces her name
Princess Eugenie has shared the first glimpse of her newborn daughter and revealed the name chosen for the baby. In early August, the 36-year-old granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II became a mother for the third time. Now, Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have shared their first family photos.

The baby girl has been named Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. Eugenie explained that each part of her daughter’s name carries a special meaning for the family.
According to the princess, their daughter was named after three people whom she and Jack love and admire. One of them is the late Queen Elizabeth II — the little girl’s great-grandmother, whose memory the family continues to cherish.
«We are so happy to introduce you to Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. She was named after three people we love and admire — those who are with us today and those who are no longer with us», Eugenie said.

She also noted that her daughter’s name has connections to both English and Portuguese history. These two countries are particularly important to the couple, as they consider them their homes. Several years ago, the family left the United Kingdom and moved to Portugal to escape excessive attention from the press and the public.
Eugenie is also delighted by the way her older sons have welcomed their baby sister. According to the princess, five-year-old August and three-year-old Ernest have already become «wonderful big brothers».
