Prince William becomes a billionaire

Wealthier than the King
Prince William has officially become a billionaire. The 44-year-old heir to the British throne is now estimated to possess assets worth around $1.6 billion, making him wealthier than his father, King Charles III.

According to The Mirror, the majority of the Prince of Wales’s wealth comes from the Duchy of Cornwall, which passed to him in 2022 following Charles III’s accession to the throne. The estate provides William and his family with significant financial independence.
Recent financial reports indicate that the Prince received approximately $28.5 million in private income during the 2025–2026 financial year alone. At the same time, he paid more than $26 million in taxes.

For comparison, King Charles III’s personal fortune is currently estimated at around $850 million. As a result, the wealth of his eldest son is nearly twice the size of the monarch’s personal assets.
