From model to actress: Gigi Hadid makes her acting debut
The first step into a new profession
Supermodel Gigi Hadid has decided to expand beyond her modelling career and try her hand at the film industry. The runway star has made her first appearance as an actress in the series «Not suitable for work», which premiered just a few days ago.
The 31-year-old model landed her first acting role in a project created by acclaimed writer and producer Mindy Kaling. Gigi, who is in a relationship with actor and director Bradley Cooper, appears in the third episode of the first season, portraying a character named Catherine.
In the storyline, Catherine is in a relationship with investment banker Bill Gibson, played by Jay Ellis. She unexpectedly arrives at her boyfriend’s office to celebrate the anniversary of their relationship.
However, the romantic surprise quickly turns into a heated confrontation when Bill, completely absorbed in his work, forgets the important date. The argument escalates rapidly, and Catherine ultimately decides to end the relationship.
