Elon Musk becomes the first person in history with a net worth exceeding $600 billion

All records shattered
According to Forbes, Elon Musk has become the first person in history whose net worth has reached the $600 billion mark. This puts him $425 billion ahead of Google co-founder Larry Page, whose fortune is estimated at $252 billion. The achievement is truly unprecedented: no one had previously managed to come anywhere near the $500 billion threshold.
A key driver behind the rapid growth of Musk’s wealth was the sharp increase in the valuation of SpaceX. Following a lucrative agreement with investors, the company was valued at $800 billion – up from $400 billion in August. Musk owns approximately 42% of SpaceX, a stake that has had a significant impact on his personal fortune.
Looking ahead, SpaceX is preparing for a potential stock market debut. An initial public offering (IPO) could take place as early as 2026. It is expected to further boost the company’s valuation, as SpaceX currently represents Musk’s most valuable asset.
An additional contribution to the entrepreneur’s rising wealth comes from his roughly 12% stake in Tesla. Despite a decline in sales, shares of the electric vehicle manufacturer have risen by 13% since the beginning of the year.
Moreover, media reports indicate that Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI is in active talks to raise $15 billion in funding, at a valuation of $230 billion.
