Elegant Prince William and Kate Middleton Welcome the Emir of Qatar in London

A Stylish Appearance
Kate Middleton, who continues to recover following cancer treatment, delighted fans with a new public appearance. Together with Prince William, she greeted the Emir of Qatar, who arrived in the UK for a two-day visit.
The couple accompanied Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the first of his three wives, Sheikha Jawaher, to the Household Cavalry parade for a ceremonial welcome, where they were joined by King Charles III.
For the occasion, 42-year-old Kate opted for a burgundy Alexander McQueen coat and a matching Sahar Millinery hat — a nod to the color of Qatar’s flag. Her accessories included leather pointed Gianvito Rossi boots, Cornelia James gloves, and a Chanel handbag, all in the same hue. She also wore jewelry from the late Queen Elizabeth II: Bahrain pearl drop earrings and the Japanese pearl choker, previously seen on the Princess of Wales at Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021.
Prince William donned a dark coat, a white shirt, and a burgundy tie with a subtle print that complemented his wife’s ensemble.
Meanwhile, Queen Camilla was absent from the welcoming ceremony due to a prolonged lung infection, as previously announced by Buckingham Palace. However, she attended the official dinner and evening banquet.
It is worth recalling that Kate Middleton had largely avoided public appearances throughout 2024 after announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. In September, the palace released a statement confirming that she had completed chemotherapy, which the princess described as «a tremendous relief». Her earlier public reappearance was at a major London festival.
