In Military Style: Kate Middleton Makes Her Second Public Appearance

Symbolic and Relevant
Kate Middleton is gradually resuming her royal duties. She was first seen at the Royal Albert Hall for the traditional Festival of Remembrance, commemorating the end of World War I. Later, the Princess of Wales attended the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph.

The wife of Prince William observed the solemn parade from the Foreign Office balcony, accompanied by Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

For the occasion, Kate chose a military-style coat by Catherine Walker, complemented by an elegant veiled hat from Juliette Botterill Millinery. The look was highly symbolic and fitting, given the record number of military conflicts currently happening around the world.

While she wore earrings from Lady Diana’s collection for the Festival of Remembrance, this time Kate opted for Queen Elizabeth II’s pearl drop earrings. This isn’t the first time Kate has worn these earrings; she notably wore them to Prince Philip’s funeral in 2021.

As for the diamond brooch featuring a double-headed eagle, it was a gift from the Dragoon Guards Regiment’s brigadier, presented to Kate a year ago.
