Victoria and David Beckham decided to revisit the beginning of their love story. During their summer holiday in Italy, the couple returned to Portofino — the very place they had visited together 29 years ago, when their relationship was still a secret.
According to the football star, in 1997 the couple tried to escape the intense attention of the press and spent 48 short but incredibly meaningful hours in Portofino.
Now, almost three decades later, 52-year-old Victoria and 51-year-old David returned to the very same hotel where, in many ways, their relationship began.
The couple dedicated one evening entirely to each other, enjoying a romantic dinner and a stroll through the picturesque resort town.
«29 years ago, we came to Portofino, to this hotel, before anyone knew we were dating. And now we are back here again», David wrote on social media, sharing photos with his wife.

For their date, Victoria chose a black, semi-sheer lace maxi dress with a V-neckline and floral appliqué.

Despite the romantic getaway, the couple were joined on their Italian holiday by their children: 21-year-old Cruz, 23-year-old Romeo and 15-year-old Harper. Cruz’s 30-year-old girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, also joined the family.
The couple, considered one of the most enduring and stylish in the world of show business, recently celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary.
