Jonathan Anderson Unveils His Debut Cruise Collection for Dior

A fusion of glamour and classic elegance
Jonathan Anderson presented his debut cruise show for Dior in Los Angeles. The collection drew inspiration from the era of “Golden Hollywood.”
Models walked the runway in flowing gowns, dropped-waist silhouettes, open-back designs, sequins, embroidery, and feathered details. Among the runway stars was Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, the daughter of Nicole Kidman, who appeared as a model during the show.

At the same time, the designer adapted the classic aesthetic for a contemporary audience by introducing looser tailoring and intricate draping.
Particular attention was given to the iconic Bar jacket, which Anderson reimagined in a new interpretation — elongated, adorned with fringe, and enhanced with more expressive decorative elements.

The collection also featured references to John Galliano’s era at Dior, most notably through clutches featuring newspaper-print motifs.

Accessories included bags and footwear in houndstooth patterns, feathered headpieces, and headbands shaped like the brand’s logo.

The show took place on the grounds of an art museum. The location was chosen deliberately, highlighting the fashion house’s connection to Hollywood while also coinciding with the opening of Dior’s new flagship boutique in the city.
