Johnny Depp returns to the big screen: watch the trailer for «Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol»

After a lengthy hiatus, Johnny Depp is making his return to the big screen. Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer and official poster for «Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol», starring Depp in the leading role. It marks the actor’s first major film project since his highly publicized 2022 legal battle with his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
The film reimagines Charles Dickens’ classic «A Christmas Carol», blending the timeless story with the dark atmosphere of a psychological thriller.
Depp takes on the role of the legendary miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas and forced to confront the choices that have shaped his life. In the trailer, Scrooge is haunted by chilling spirits of the past, present, and future, compelling him to face the consequences of his actions.
The film is directed by Ti West, best known for the horror films «Pearl», «MaXXXine», and «The Innkeepers».
Joining Johnny Depp in the cast are Ian McKellen (Gandalf from «The Lord of the Rings»), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from «Harry Potter»), Daisy Ridley (Rey from «Star Wars»), Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair from «The Hunger Games»), and Andrea Riseborough.
«Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol» is set to premiere on November 13.
