John Travolta Appears in a New Look on the Cannes Red Carpet

Together with His Daughter
Hollywood actor John Travolta became one of the most talked-about guests at the Cannes Film Festival. He arrived in Cannes accompanied by his 26-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, to present his directorial debut — the film “Propeller. Night Flight One Way.”
At the same time, Travolta, who rarely appears at public events, impressed audiences not only with his return to the red carpet after a long break but also with a striking change in his appearance.
On the red carpet, the 72-year-old actor appeared in an unusual look: a classic suit with a waistcoat, a white shirt with a tie, and as the key accent of the outfit — a light beret and glasses. Another detail that drew particular attention was a neatly groomed dark beard, which made the star difficult to recognize at first glance, even for longtime fans.
The actor’s refreshed appearance immediately sparked a wave of discussion online. Users noted that he appeared noticeably slimmer and speculated that he may have undergone cosmetic procedures, including a facelift or blepharoplasty.
One of the highlights of the evening was not only the screening of Travolta’s film, which he directed based on his own children’s book written back in 1997.
The biggest surprise came just before the screening. The festival’s artistic director, Thierry Frémaux, presented him with an honorary Palme d’Or.
“What a surprise! I can’t believe it — I truly did not expect this,” the actor said emotionally in French from the stage.
The film’s premiere on the Apple TV platform is scheduled for May 29.
