The Oscar winner received the honorary award for his «multifaceted career as an actor, director, and producer, as well as for his global humanitarian work». Organisers also praised him as a man of principle, humour, and a reputation he has upheld for many years, according to Just Jared.
The star couple is seldom seen at social events. For the occasion, 64-year-old Clooney chose timeless classic style – a black tuxedo with a bow tie. Meanwhile, 48-year-old Amal opted for striking elegance, appearing in a Balenciaga mini dress from Pierpaolo Piccioli’s new summer collection.
