Celine Dion’s spectacular stage comeback: a look at the singer’s show-stopping outfits

Celine Dion has made a triumphant return to the stage after a six-year hiatus. Her first concert in that time took place at Paris’s Plenitude Arena and drew thousands of fans. The singer was already in tears during the very first song.

For years, Dion was unable to perform because of stiff-person syndrome — a rare neurological disorder that affects muscle movement and the voice. Her return to the stage was therefore particularly emotional.

But it was not only the music that captured the audience’s attention. For the concert, Celine chose a series of luxurious creations by leading French and international designers.

The standout look of the evening was a dramatic black Dior gown created especially for Celine by Jonathan Anderson. The design featured an open neckline and a tiered skirt made of delicate layers of pleated fabric. The result was a silhouette reminiscent of a giant flower.

Dion completed the look with a Boucheron necklace featuring a diamond. The piece has a special connection to Paris, as its design was inspired by the octagonal shape of Place Vendôme.

During the show, Celine also appeared in a look by Alaïa. Its centerpiece was a sculptural leather corset, which she paired with a long velvet skirt.

The Schiaparelli look was equally striking. It was inspired by a jacket created by Elsa Schiaparelli in the late 1930s. The result was a highly structured, theatrical ensemble.

Another memorable appearance came in a Givenchy look designed by Sarah Burton. The singer wore a cut-out dress paired with a voluminous powder-pink cape embellished with torn organza.

Celine closed out the evening’s fashion moments in a shimmering black Tom Ford gown created by French designer Haider Ackermann. The dress featured a daring high slit and caught the light dramatically under the stage spotlights.
