Justin Timberlake to release documentary series about his life

The singer will revisit some of the major scandals of his past
American singer Justin Timberlake is working on a four-part documentary series for Apple TV.
According to Variety, the series will offer an unusually candid look at his life. The artist plans to address subjects that have repeatedly made headlines and sparked heated public debate in recent years. The premiere is scheduled for December.

One of the most sensitive topics Timberlake is expected to discuss is the recent statements made by his former girlfriend, Britney Spears.

Janet Jackson will also feature in the project. The singer will appear in the documentary and revisit her controversial performance with Timberlake during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show. The joint performance was overshadowed by a wardrobe incident: while performing «Rock Your Body», Justin Timberlake pulled at part of Janet Jackson’s leather outfit, tearing away a section of her top. As a result, the singer’s breast was exposed in front of millions of viewers watching the live broadcast. The incident later became widely known as a «wardrobe malfunction».
Further details about the upcoming project are being kept under wraps. The four-part documentary is directed by Fisher Stevens.
Timberlake has made relatively few public appearances recently. The past few years have been challenging for the 45-year-old singer. They included the release of Britney Spears’s controversial memoir, which affected his public image, his diagnosis with Lyme disease, and a scandal surrounding his arrest for driving under the influence.
