Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato recreate their iconic «Princess Protection Program» looks

The stars reunite for a Rare Beauty campaign
«Princess Protection Program» is making a comeback — Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have teamed up again, this time for a new advertising campaign for Selena’s beauty brand, Rare Beauty. The former Disney Channel stars revisited the characters audiences fell in love with back in 2009, reminding fans of the days when their friendship played out both on screen and in their first YouTube videos together.

Titled «Still Making Each Other Blush», the campaign celebrates the launch of the limited-edition Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Bundle Delena. The name is a nod to the nickname fans came up with for Selena and Demi by combining their first names.
For the campaign shoot, Gomez and Lovato recreated several memorable moments from their shared past. In one photograph, they re-created the poster for «Princess Protection Program», wearing modern takes on the blue and yellow dresses worn by their characters, Carter Mason and Princess Rosalinda.

The actresses also returned to the format of their early YouTube series, «The Demi and Selena Show», which they filmed in 2008. In a video posted on Selena’s YouTube channel, the friends answer questions, reminisce about their first childhood crushes, and sing along to their own song «One and the Same» — the duet featured in the film.
«Demi and I share so many memories from our childhood, so getting to reconnect through a campaign that brings up so much nostalgia for both of us was such a special, full-circle moment. I’ve loved her liquid blushes since the brand first launched, so working on this project was a real joy. Being on set felt like we were back in our childhood bedrooms, filming YouTube videos and playing with makeup», Demi Lovato shared.

Selena also spoke about their reunion, emphasizing just how meaningful the story of their friendship is to her.
«What Demi and I have been through together is truly unique. This campaign was a beautiful opportunity to look back on our shared history and celebrate who we are today. One and the same … forever», Gomez said.

Priced at $50, the set includes two shades of Rare Beauty’s iconic liquid blush: Hope, a nude rosy-mauve loved by Selena, and Virtue, a peachy beige chosen by Demi. The bundle also comes with the Soft Pinch Blush Brush for applying the product.
