Watch the final trailer for «Dune: Part Three»

The final chapter of an epic cinematic saga

Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for «Dune: Part Three». Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film continues the story of Paul Atreides and brings his cinematic trilogy to a close. The film is set to hit theaters on December 17, 2026.

The story takes place approximately 17 years after the events of «Dune: Part Two». Paul now rules the Imperium as Emperor. But power brings new challenges. His past decisions have devastating consequences, while a conspiracy begins to take shape around him.

In the trailer, Paul is no longer portrayed as a hero driven solely by revenge. He has come to understand the price of his rule and the consequences of the war he set in motion. His relationship with Chani becomes particularly fraught. Unwilling to accept the path Paul has chosen, she finds herself at the heart of the unfolding story.

Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson and Javier Bardem will reprise their roles. Jason Momoa will also return to the «Dune» universe in a new guise. One of the key new characters is Scytale, played by Robert Pattinson.

The film is based on Frank Herbert’s novel «Dune Messiah». Villeneuve has adapted the story for the big screen alongside screenwriter Brian K. Vaughan. The director previously noted that the third installment would be more intense and thriller-driven than its predecessors.
