Jennifer Lawrence launches haircare brand and opens up about breast augmentation

In a promotional interview with The Cut
Jennifer Lawrence is taking on a new role — entrepreneur. The Hollywood actress has launched her own haircare brand, Mes.
The star discussed the launch in an interview with The Cut, where she also opened up about her personal experiences, talked about motherhood, and reflected on how her attitude toward her appearance has changed.

Lawrence said that working on her own brand gave her a familiar sense of creative excitement — the same feeling she experiences on a film set.
«When you create something, whether it’s a movie or a product, there’s this incredible energy that you can’t stop. I felt the same electric charge that I feel when I’m working on a role», Jennifer explained.

The interview also touched on a subject that often attracts considerable attention — cosmetic surgery. Lawrence revealed that she underwent breast augmentation after the birth of her second child. According to the actress, her body recovered relatively quickly after her first pregnancy, but things were different after her second delivery: «Nothing went back into place.»

Her thoughts about possible changes to her appearance don’t end there. Jennifer admitted that she has considered getting a facelift, while for now she sticks to small amounts of Botox. She has decided against fillers because, in her view, the results can look too obvious on camera. She also wants to maintain a natural appearance, as she often plays characters who cannot afford expensive cosmetic procedures.

Lawrence also said she would like to have her buccal fat removed but worries that the change would be immediately noticeable. She sums up her desire to look her best in a simple phrase: «I want to be a hot mom.»

The actress expanded on this idea while discussing everyday life with her children. She wants to look as though she has everything under control, even when the reality is quite the opposite.
«When I drop my kid off at school, I want to look like a woman who has everything under control, even if I’ve just woken up and, in reality, have absolutely nothing under control», Jennifer shared.

Returning to Mes, the star revealed that she worked with a scientific company to develop the brand’s first product line. The collection includes three products: a repairing hair mask, a styling serum, and a volumizing spray.

Lawrence is not yet ready to measure Mes’s future success in concrete figures. She admitted that she has no clear idea of the financial targets the brand would need to reach for her to consider the venture a success.
«If someone held a gun to my head and asked, “What numbers does Mes need to hit to be considered successful?”, I would have absolutely no idea. Numbers just don’t stick in my head. I’m silly, but sweet!», the actress joked.
