Barbara Palvin shares a glimpse of her daughter and opens up about the first weeks after giving birth
Motherhood beyond the runway
Following her triumphant return to the Victoria’s Secret runway, Barbara Palvin has offered a glimpse into the life she leads away from the spotlight. The model shared new family photos, including an especially adorable shot of her daughter, Sylvie.
In the picture, the little girl lies on a blanket beside a white plush bunny. Her light-coloured onesie is decorated with golden wings, making Sylvie look just like a little angel. In another photo, Barbara’s husband, actor Dylan Sprouse, cradles their daughter while feeding her from a bottle.
Alongside the photos, Palvin shared a heartfelt post about her first weeks of motherhood. She admitted that during this time, she has felt especially grateful for the support of those closest to her. It was the help of her family and friends that made her return to work possible.
The model also expressed her gratitude to the Victoria’s Secret team for embracing her exactly as she was at this stage of her life. Behind the scenes, nursing pads even had to be sewn into her bras. Barbara described this as a small reminder of what life after childbirth really looks like.
Palvin also emphasised that returning to work was her own choice. At the same time, she reflected on women who do not have the same opportunity. In her view, mothers need more time, support and the freedom to decide for themselves when they are ready to return to work.
The model urged people not to compare her experience with those of other women. After all, the life behind the runway look is very different from what the audience sees. Sometimes, for a new mother, simply taking a peaceful shower or eating a meal without rushing is already a small achievement.
«Every postpartum journey looks different», Barbara reminded her followers.
Although she is proud of her return to the runway, the model is now happy to be back in her own little world with Sylvie. She described motherhood as challenging, beautiful, emotional and sometimes chaotic, yet incredibly rewarding.
