Gänsehäufel

Gänsehäufel is, without question, Vienna’s most iconic urban beach. Located on an island in the Old Danube, it has remained one of the city’s favourite summer destinations for generations.
Its spacious grounds feature sandy beaches, large lawns, sports facilities, cafés, children’s play areas, and SUP board rentals, making it easy to spend an entire day here. An adult ticket costs €8.10, and visitors who purchase tickets online can use the Fast Lane entrance to avoid waiting in line.
CopaBeach

CopaBeach perfectly blends the energy of city life with the relaxed atmosphere of a holiday resort. The waterfront is lined with bars, cafés, and restaurants, while designated swimming and relaxation areas are just steps away.
During the day, visitors come here to sunbathe, swim, or stroll along the Danube. By evening, CopaBeach transforms into one of Vienna’s liveliest summer hotspots. Even better, admission is completely free.
Strandbad Alte Donau

Krapfenwaldlbad

Schafbergbad

Schafbergbad is an excellent destination for families. The complex features several swimming pools, large water slides, a children’s splash area, sports facilities, and spacious sunbathing lawns.
An adult ticket costs €8.10. Thanks to its generous size, it’s usually much easier to find a peaceful spot to relax, even during the busiest weeks of summer.
Laaerbergbad
Address: Ludwig-von-Höhnel-Gasse 2, 1100 Vienna
Laaerbergbad is one of Vienna’s largest outdoor swimming complexes. Visitors can enjoy a wave pool, sports and children’s pools, expansive grassy areas, as well as volleyball and football courts, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
During periods of extreme heat, the city may extend the pool’s opening hours. Adult admission costs €8.10. Please note that the children’s pool is temporarily closed this season due to pipeline renovation works. An alternative swimming area has been set up for younger visitors.
