The stars of the iconic sitcom «Friends», Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, have shared the spotlight once again three decades later. The actresses became the featured guests of a new edition of the «Actors on Actors» project by Variety and graced its cover together.
During their candid conversation, the two stars reflected not only on their latest projects but also on their time filming «Friends», which remains an important chapter in their lives to this day.
One of the most emotional moments came when 62-year-old Lisa Kudrow revealed that the third and final season of «The Comeback» was filmed on the very same Warner Bros. studio lot where «Friends» was once produced.
«I can’t even express how emotional it made me. I realised that it was the end of a story – and that this was the very place where the story of «Friends» had once come to an end», the actress shared.
Another detail proved equally symbolic. Julian, Lisa Kudrow’s son, whom she was expecting during the filming of «Friends», was cast in the final season of «The Comeback» – on that very same studio lot.
«It was an incredible surprise for me. He grew up hearing the laughter on that soundstage, and now he has become part of it himself», added the 57-year-old Aniston.
As a reminder, «Friends» premiered in 1994 and went on to become one of the most successful television series in history. The roles of Rachel Green and Phoebe Buffay brought Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow worldwide fame, while their real-life friendship has endured for more than three decades.
