Natalie Portman, Channing Tatum, and Other Stars at the Sundance Film Festival

Celebrities present their latest projects
The annual Sundance Film Festival 2026 has kicked off in the U.S. state of Utah, celebrating independent cinema from around the world.
A whole constellation of stars arrived to showcase their new film projects, including Natalie Portman, Channing Tatum, Jenna Ortega, Alexander Skarsgård, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, Ethan Hawke, Elizabeth Debicki, Taika Waititi, Elijah Wood, Olivia Colman, and many others.
One of the most talked-about premieres was the black comedy The Gallerist, presented at the festival by Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega. The film offers an ironic take on the behind-the-scenes world of the art business. Portman appeared at the screening in a restrained, elegant look, accompanied not only by Ortega but also by another co-star, singer Charli XCX.
Channing Tatum arrived in Utah with the drama Josephine, a story about the father of a young girl suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde unveiled her new comedy The Invitation, starring Edward Norton and Seth Rogen.
There were also some unexpected guests: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended Sundance as producers. The couple presented the documentary Cookie Queens, dedicated to Girl Scouts. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex walked the red carpet alongside the film’s director, Alyssa Nahmias.
