New Faces: Vogue launches open model casting
Applications are open until August 25
The American edition of Vogue is once again launching an open model casting, offering new faces from around the world a chance to appear in the pages of the iconic magazine.
The winner will be selected by a special panel that includes Vogue editors, stylists, casting directors, and other fashion industry professionals. She will take part in a professional photo shoot for one of the magazine’s major editorial projects.
As Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour noted, in today’s world, talented models — like designers — can be discovered anywhere, especially thanks to social media.
«Models, like designers, can now make their mark from anywhere. Many talented girls, such as Alex Consani and Paloma Elsesser, were discovered through their presence on social media,» said Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer at Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director of Vogue.
Applications can be submitted from August 4 to 25 via the Vogue mobile app in countries where it is available. Women aged 18 and older are eligible to participate. Each applicant must upload her photos, a short video, and complete a special application form.
«It will be exciting to see how the Open Casting feature in our Vogue app helps us reach a much wider audience. That’s the beauty of modern modeling — diversity and uniqueness. I’m really looking forward to meeting the new generation that is shaping the industry today,» Wintour added.
