38-year-old Poppy Delevingne will become a mother for the first time
The model is expecting a daughter
Model and entrepreneur Poppy Delevingne is expecting her first child with her partner Archie Keswick. Poppy shared the news in an interview with Elle magazine.
Delevingne revealed that she found out about her pregnancy during London Fashion Week.
According to the mom-to-be, during the second fitting of her look for the Burberry SS’25 show, she noticed that her outfit felt tighter than it did during the first session two weeks prior. She experienced dizziness during the show, and immediately afterward decided to take a pregnancy test, which came back positive.
The model and her partner are expecting a daughter and admit it’s the best thing that has ever happened to them.
«She’s truly everything I’ve ever wanted. Obviously, I would have been happy either way, and when I was younger, I always thought that if I ever got pregnant, I wouldn’t want to know the baby’s gender until birth. But now I’m so excited! I come from a family full of girls; we have so many girls. Girls are wonderful,» Delevingne shared.
Delevingne and Keswick kept the news a secret for some time — they told their loved ones about the pregnancy only in the fourth month.
«I always imagined that if this moment ever came for me, I’d want to share it with people. But oddly, I became very quiet. I think I just wanted to protect it more than anything else. I was nervous. It just feels like such a privilege — to be able to have a baby at this age and at this time.»
Poppy is the middle sister in the Delevingne family, with younger sister Chloe and older sister Cara delighted about the new addition to their family.
The sisters spent Christmas together, celebrating the news: «We were all in New York, together with the baby bump, talking to the bump, stroking the bump. They are just overjoyed.»
The couple decided to share the pregnancy publicly now, as Poppy approaches her sixth month, because hiding her growing bump is becoming increasingly difficult. She realizes she could be photographed at various work events.
