Sarah Jessica parker to join the Booker Prize jury
To be held in 2025
We are used to seeing the talented actress Sarah Jessica Parker in shows like Sex and the City and And Just Like That. However, she will soon appear in a new role – as one of the jurors for the prestigious Booker Prize. While Parker has previously been the recipient of awards, this time, she will help decide which author will take home the grand prize of £50,000.
In addition to being an avid reader, the actress also owns her own publishing house, SJP Lit. She has served as the honorary chair of the American Library Association’s online reading platform Central Book Club and is a board member of the U.S.-based charity United for Libraries.
Notably, the 2025 jury also includes authors Ayọ̀bámi Adébáyọ̀ and Kiley Reid, broadcaster Chris Power, and 1997 Booker Prize winner Roddy Doyle.
