Hadid Sisters, Adriana Lima, and Other Stars in Victoria’s Secret Show
The Return of the «Angels»
The first Victoria’s Secret show in six years took place in New York, featuring both legendary supermodels who have long been brand ambassadors and fresh faces.
The show opened with Gigi Hadid, who appeared on the runway in a pink outfit with wings.
Her sister, Bella Hadid, also graced the runway — her second appearance after a long break due to Lyme disease. In September, Bella made a comeback at the Saint Laurent show.
Victoria’s Secret «Angels» who returned to the runway included Eva Herzigová, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Grace Elizabeth, Barbara Palvin, Taylor Hill, Behati Prinsloo, and Adriana Lima. Lima’s contract with the brand, by the way, spanned 18 years — from 2000 to 2018. During that time, she participated in 18 shows.
Meanwhile, this was a debut for Kate Moss and her daughter Lila, former French First Lady Carla Bruni, model Vittoria Ceretti, and plus-size model Ashley Graham in the brand’s lingerie show.
Tyra Banks, who was an Angel from 1997 to 2005 and appeared in nine shows, closed the show.
Musical performances were provided by Lisa from Blackpink, Tyla, and the legendary singer Cher.
Despite public calls for the brand to return to its previous show format, the result did not impress viewers. According to Daily Mail, many online reviews were negative, with critics targeting the direction, decorations, and «fake applause».
