«We love you»: David Beckham congratulates son Brooklyn on his Birthday

Despite the estrangement
Despite the highly publicised rift within the Beckham family – during which Brooklyn publicly distanced himself from his famous parents – David Beckham and Victoria Beckham chose to extend an olive branch, addressing their eldest son publicly. As Brooklyn turned 27 today, the former footballer and the designer set aside past grievances and shared archival photographs with their firstborn.
On Instagram, David posted touching images from his son’s childhood and recalled Brooklyn’s family nickname – Buster.
«Today you turn 27. Happy birthday, Buster! We love you!» the 50-year-old wrote.

Victoria soon joined the tributes. On her social media, she shared a photograph of herself holding her young son in her arms, adding heart emojis and the caption:
«Happy birthday, Brooklyn, we love you so much».

However, the couple were reportedly unable to tag their son in the posts – according to media reports, he has blocked them on social media.

Earlier in 2026, Brooklyn Beckham released emotional statements accusing his parents of excessive control and of attempting to undermine his marriage. He claimed that the image of an «ideal family» presented to the public for years did not reflect reality, and that insincerity had been part of their everyday lives.
Media outlets also reported that the eldest son had allegedly requested not to be contacted directly and insisted that all communication take place exclusively through legal representatives.
