Vanessa Küstner presents an emotional exhibition in her hometown of Salzburg

At the Haas & Gschwantner Gallery
Artist Vanessa Küstner, previously often mentioned in the context of her marriage to former Austrian national team player Rubin Okotie, is now confidently establishing herself as an independent creative force. Last week, she presented her first exhibition in her hometown of Salzburg, marking an important step in her artistic career.

The exhibition opened at the Haas & Gschwantner Gallery and became a milestone moment for the artist, who is currently based in Vienna. Returning to her childhood city combined professional success with deeply personal emotions, highlighting her transformation from a figure of the social pages into a fully-fledged presence in contemporary art.

Küstner has already created more than 500 works and is distinguished by a recognizable artistic language. In her practice, she explores the relationship between humans and technology, blending metaphysical themes with pressing contemporary issues. Her works balance between femininity and strength, fragility and inner energy. «My works combine intuition with questions about the future,» the artist notes.

Despite her international exhibition experience in Madrid and Palma, the opening in Salzburg held particular emotional significance for her. The atmosphere of the evening was shaped not only by collectors and art enthusiasts but also by childhood friends, adding a sense of intimacy and warmth to the event.

The exhibition will be open to visitors and available for acquisitions until May 8, 2026.
