Tom Cruise granted honorary Brit status

The actor is in love with the United Kingdom
Tom Cruise, the legendary American actor, has officially been recognized as an «honorary Brit» after years of filming and living in the UK.
The 62-year-old «Mission: Impossible» star bought an estate in London in 2020 and settled in the prestigious Biggin Hill area. Since then, he has spent much of his time there and now films in the UK more often than in the US.
His friend and fellow actor Kenneth Branagh shared that Tom has integrated wonderfully into British life: he’s picked up Cockney-style humor, frequents country pubs, and always chats kindly with the locals. According to Branagh, Cruise is now completely at home in London.
At a ceremony held by the British Film Institute, Cruise thanked the organization for the honor and said he still has plenty of work ahead:
«For me, this is a great honor. I’ve been making films in the UK for over 40 years and I have no plans to stop.»

The actor often attends major events — he has been spotted at Wimbledon, Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration, the coronation of King Charles III, and even Queen Elizabeth II’s jubilee.
In a 2022 interview with The Mirror, Tom admitted:
«I’m a real fan of the UK. I spend a lot of time here, and not just for work. I just love being here. It’s a fantastic mix of old and new. I enjoy visiting landmarks like the Tower, Nelson’s Column, Buckingham Palace, and all those incredible places filled with history.»
