«This is not the end»: Bianca Balti opens up about her life with cancer

On World Cancer Day
40-year-old supermodel Bianca Balti, who was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer last year, shared new photos on social media in honor of World Cancer Day.
In the published images, Balti showed how her first and last day of chemotherapy went, how her eldest daughter Matilde shaved her head at home with a razor, and how she later went to a salon to complete the process.
The model also shared moments from fashion shoots, dancing with her daughters for TikTok, and the gentle support she receives from her boyfriend, Alessandro Catrera.
«February 4. World Cancer Day. It had always been just a random day, something I was reminded of by some posts on Instagram. Cancer could never take hold of my thoughts, let alone my body,» Bianca wrote under the photos.
«On October 14, I started chemotherapy, which ended on January 27, but, to my great surprise, in the past few months, I have felt more alive than ever. I no longer take my life for granted, and my gratitude has reached its peak. Everything has started to feel like a true blessing. It was hard, and this is not the end, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. They say, «What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,» but I believe that what didn’t kill me made me love life much more.»
Let us recall that in September last year, Bianca Balti revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer.
Two years before that, the model underwent a double mastectomy due to a genetic predisposition to breast and ovarian cancer. At the time, she postponed the removal of her ovaries because she was planning to become a mother again.
