The Waleses unveil a new portrait of Prince George
On the occasion of his 12th birthday
Today, Prince George, the eldest son of Kate Middleton and Prince William, is celebrating his birthday. The young prince has turned twelve. To mark the occasion, the royal couple released a new portrait of the birthday boy, who is second in line to the throne after his father.
In the photo, George is pictured against a natural backdrop. He is wearing a checkered shirt with a fleece vest over it. A signature Wales smile beams across his face.
«Happy Birthday, Prince George», reads the caption under the photo.
This time, the portrait was not taken by the Princess of Wales, but by British photographer Josh Shinner.
As a reminder, Prince George currently attends Lambrook School in Berkshire. Next year, he is expected to begin studying at Eton College, where his father, Prince William, was educated.
